Dana is a perfume brand originally founded in Spain in 1932. Javier Serra, former head of the Spanish perfume house Myrurgia, founded the company and shortly afterwards moved it to Paris. Dana was named after Danae, the mother of Perseus in Greek mythology. The company moved to the United States in 1940 during the Second World War.
